New agricultural vehicles are mostly equipped ex works with a diesel particulate filter, mostly one made of ceramic. In accordance with the European Exhaust Standard III B, introduced in 2012, level 4 applies since 2013. The group of companies FilterMaster DPF offers a comprehensive service for the cleaning of exhaust particulate filters of agricultural vehicles at low cost. Using a steam jet for cleaning purposes is not recommended. Cleaning is incomplete, there is also the risk that the filter will be damaged. In addition, the wastewater should never reach the drain but must be subject to special disposal. Self-cleaning by means of steam jet is therefore not recommended, not just from an industrial safety perspective. With regard to disposal costs and potential damage to the filter, this cleaning is also in no way economical.
